Odoo ERP in depth

Inside our Odoo ERP practice.

The long-form view of how we approach Odoo ERP engagements.

Odoo as the operating system of the business

We are an Official Odoo Partner and Learning Partner — one of the few in the region accredited to deliver and train on Odoo Enterprise. Manufacturing, distribution, services, retail — configured and customised to fit how your business actually runs.

Why Odoo

Odoo's modular ERP architecture is the strongest in its tier — you start with what you need (Sales + Inventory + Accounting, for example) and add modules as the business grows. Tight integration between modules means no spreadsheets in the middle and no batch reconciliation drift.

Modules we implement

  • Sales & CRM — pipeline, quotes, sales orders, contracts
  • Inventory & Manufacturing (MRP) — multi-warehouse, BOM, work centres, quality control
  • Accounting — multi-currency, multi-company, IFRS / local GAAP
  • Purchase + Vendor Management — RFQ, POs, vendor scorecards, three-way matching
  • HR + Payroll + Recruitment — full HRMS
  • Project Management + Timesheets — billable hours, project P&L
  • eCommerce + Point of Sale — omnichannel commerce
  • Field Service + Maintenance — work orders, asset management

Where we deliver

Manufacturing and distribution clients across India, Africa and the Middle East. Multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-language rollouts standard.

Why Redian for Odoo ERP

What makes our Odoo ERP practice different.

Independent reasons clients pick us over freelancers, agencies and large consultancies.

  • Official Partner + Learning Partner

Both accreditations. Direct support escalation, early access to enterprise features, accredited to train and certify your team.

  • Deep Python customisation

We extend Odoo with custom modules in Python — not just configure. Where standard Odoo falls short, we build it.

  • Multi-region delivery

Implementations live across India, East Africa, the Middle East. Localised tax (GST, VAT, withholding), currency, language and statutory reporting.

  • Modular, future-proof

Start with what you need; add modules as the business grows. No big-bang ERP commitment — Odoo's architecture rewards incremental adoption.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to ask before the call.

Don't see your question? Ask us directly →

What does Odoo Official Partner status mean?

It's Odoo's mid-tier partner programme. We get direct support escalation, early access to Enterprise features, and a direct relationship with Odoo's partner team. Learning Partner status means we're additionally accredited to train and certify users on Odoo.

Odoo Community vs Enterprise — which should we pick?

Community is free and open-source but lacks several enterprise features (advanced accounting, MRP, IoT integration, mobile apps). Enterprise is paid per user/month but includes all modules and Odoo's support. Most production deployments are Enterprise; Community works for very small or non-profit use.

How long does an Odoo implementation take?

SMB single-module: 6–10 weeks. Mid-market multi-module (Sales + Inventory + Accounting): 12–18 weeks. Manufacturing/distribution with MRP: 16–28 weeks. Enterprise multi-country: 6–12 months.

Can you migrate from Tally, SAP B1 or QuickBooks?

Yes. Standard process: extract, cleanse, deduplicate, validate. Three-cycle trial migration to Odoo sandbox before live cutover. Rollback procedures contracted upfront.

Will you build custom Odoo modules?

Yes — that's where most enterprise value lives. We extend Odoo with custom modules in Python, Odoo Studio for low-code customisation, and integration modules for any third-party system.

What happens with Odoo annual version upgrades?

Odoo releases a major version annually. We absorb the upgrade as part of managed services — sandbox testing, breaking-change analysis, migration scripts, rollout. Not a separate paid project.

Do you handle multi-country, multi-currency rollouts?

Yes — multi-entity, multi-currency, multi-language, multi-tax-jurisdiction. We've rolled Odoo across India, East Africa, the Middle East with localised GST, VAT, withholding tax and statutory reporting.
