SuiteCRM in depth

Inside our SuiteCRM practice.

The long-form view of how we approach SuiteCRM engagements.

SuiteCRM specialists since 2016

SuiteCRM is one of the most powerful open-source CRMs in the world — but the value depends entirely on how it's customised, hosted and supported. We've been a SuiteCRM specialist practice since 2016, delivering for banks, insurers, brokers and enterprises across 5 continents.

Why open-source CRM matters

For regulated industries (banking, insurance, healthcare), data sovereignty and code-level control aren't optional. SuiteCRM gives you:

  • Full source-code ownership — no vendor lock-in, no license-per-user trap
  • On-premise or private-cloud hosting — data stays inside your boundary
  • Unlimited customisation — PHP-based platform, modify any module
  • Multi-tenant or single-tenant — your choice
  • No license cap on users — scale users without escalating licensing cost

What we deliver

  • Implementation — discovery, module configuration, custom development
  • Hosted SuiteCRM — managed infrastructure with backups, monitoring and SLA support
  • Migration to SuiteCRM — from Salesforce, Sugar, Zoho or legacy CRM
  • Custom module development — PHP-based extensions, integrations, workflow customisation
  • Long-term managed services — patches, upgrades, optimisation, version migrations

Adjacent practices

If SuiteCRM doesn't fit, we also deliver Zoho, Salesforce, Odoo and SugarCRM — platform-agnostic recommendations.

Why Redian for SuiteCRM

What makes our SuiteCRM practice different.

Independent reasons clients pick us over freelancers, agencies and large consultancies.

  • 9+ years specialising in SuiteCRM

Since 2016. One of the longest-running open-source CRM practices in the region. Deep platform knowledge that newer entrants don't have.

  • Data sovereignty by design

    On-premise or private-cloud hosting. Full source-code ownership. Code-level audit-ability for regulators.

  • PHP customisation depth

Custom modules, Logic Hooks, scheduler jobs, REST extensions, front-end JavaScript. Where config falls short, we build.

  • Platform-agnostic advice

We also run Zoho, Salesforce and Odoo practices. When we recommend SuiteCRM, it's because open-source genuinely fits your needs.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to ask before the call.

Don't see your question? Ask us directly →

Why pick SuiteCRM over Salesforce or Zoho?

Three reasons: (1) Data sovereignty — you host on your infrastructure, no third-party trusted with sensitive data. (2) No per-user licensing — scale users without escalating costs. (3) Full source-code ownership — unlimited customisation, no vendor lock-in. Best fit for regulated industries and cost-conscious enterprises.

Can SuiteCRM scale to thousands of users?

Yes — we've deployed SuiteCRM for organisations with 5,000+ users. Performance tuning, sharding strategies and infrastructure choices matter more than the platform itself at that scale.

Do you host SuiteCRM for us or do we host it ourselves?

Either. We offer managed [Hosted SuiteCRM](/expertise/crm/hosted-suitecrm) where we run the infrastructure (backups, monitoring, patches, SLA support). Or we deploy on your infrastructure and you operate. Many clients hybridise — production on their cloud, dev/staging on ours.

How does customisation work in SuiteCRM?

Multiple layers. Studio (no-code), Module Builder (low-code), Logic Hooks (PHP server-side automation), front-end JavaScript customisation, REST API extensions, custom modules built from scratch. We pick the right layer for each customisation.

Can you migrate us from Sugar, Salesforce or Zoho?

Yes. Sugar-to-SuiteCRM is straightforward (same fork). Salesforce-to-SuiteCRM and Zoho-to-SuiteCRM are more involved but routine. See our [Migration to SuiteCRM](/expertise/crm/migration-to-suitecrm) practice.

What about ongoing patches and version upgrades?

Part of managed services. We absorb security patches, minor version updates and major version migrations. SuiteCRM's release cadence is typically a major version every 12–18 months.
