What we deliver

Everything in the box.

Comprehensive scope — designed to remove the gaps where most engagements typically slip.

  • 01

    Two-week discovery + architecture doc

We read the code, sit with the team, audit the roadmap, and produce a shared architecture-and-quality-bar document. That document becomes the engineering contract.

  • 02

    Long-lived product squads

6–12 engineer squads with named tech leads and quarterly OKRs you agree. Average tenure on our squads is 3+ years — not contract churn.

  • 03

    Architecture and platform ownership

ADRs, service boundaries, data contracts, performance budgets. Regular tech-debt audits with cost-of-delay prioritisation, not just the loud items.

  • 04

    Security and compliance hardening

SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 readiness, OWASP threat modelling, dependency scanning. We've shipped under SOC 2, UK GDPR, DPA 2019, FTA VAT, IRDAI and CBK regimes.

  • 05

    Release engineering and SRE

Trunk-based development with feature flags. SLOs and error budgets, not vanity dashboards. Daily releases without drama, observability that engineers actually read.

  • 06

    Growth and product instrumentation

Event taxonomies, A/B testing harnesses, retention dashboards. Analytics the product team uses to decide, not just to report.

Who hires us

Built for the way your team buys.

We've shaped this practice around the patterns we see most — match yours against the list.

  • B2B SaaS scale-ups

Post-Series B SaaS firms outgrowing their initial engineering team, needing roadmap depth and reliability before the next funding milestone.

  • Enterprise product divisions

Product groups inside banks, insurers and large enterprises shipping customer-facing software at scale, with internal governance and compliance demands.

  • BFSI software companies

Vertical SaaS firms in banking, insurance, lending and capital markets needing regulator-fluent engineering and BFSI domain depth.

  • Healthcare and life sciences

Healthtech and digital-health platforms with HIPAA, GDPR and patient-data residency constraints across multiple markets.

  • Platform and marketplace companies

Two-sided platforms, aggregators and ecosystems whose engineering velocity is the moat — needing scale, observability and growth experimentation in one team.

  • PE-backed software portfolios

PE operating partners standing up shared engineering across portfolio companies — cost discipline plus retention plus institutional knowledge.

Our process

How an engagement unfolds.

Transparent, milestone-driven, with clear owners and timeframes at every stage.

  1. 01Weeks 1–2

    Discovery and architecture doc

Codebase read, team interviews, customer-facing journey audit, roadmap and metrics review. Output: a written architecture-and-quality-bar document with named engineering risks.

  2. 02Weeks 3–6

    Squad formation and ramp

Named engineers ramp on your codebase, tooling and rituals. Tech lead identified. First two-week sprint shipping production code by week six.

  3. 03Months 2–4

    Foundations and quality bar

Test pyramid built, CI/CD pipelines stabilised, observability baseline in place, security backlog scoped, design-system gaps closed. The boring work that makes velocity possible.

  4. 04Months 4–12

    Roadmap delivery at scale

Quarterly OKRs, two-week sprints, fortnightly demos to product leadership. Velocity stays predictable because the foundations were done first.

  5. 05Ongoing

    Modernization and growth

Tech-debt reviews quarterly, architecture refresh annually, growth experimentation continuously. The squad evolves the product with the business, not against it.

  6. 06Year 2+

    Long-term partnership

Average tenure on our squads is 3+ years. We move from initial scope to multi-year roadmap ownership with the same engineers and tech leads on the account.

Service overview

In depth — how this practice runs.

The long-form view of what we build, how we sequence it, and the stacks we run.

A full product engineering team, not a body shop

You already have a product. What you need is an engineering partner who can take responsibility for the whole product surface — UX research, architecture, build, QA, release, observability, growth experiments, security hardening, and the years of incremental modernization that come after launch. That is what we mean by product engineering services — the breadth of capability a product company actually needs, delivered as one accountable team.

This is different from our other engagement modes. Product development is for long-lived product squads owning a 3–5 year roadmap. MVP development is for founders who need a live product in 8–12 weeks. Custom software development is for bespoke enterprise systems that off-the-shelf software cannot match. Product engineering services sits across all of those — it is the full-spectrum engineering capability behind a product, drawn from one organisation rather than stitched across vendors.

Who this is for

Heads of Product, CTOs at scale-ups, and VPs of Engineering at enterprise product organisations who have outgrown contract developers and need an actual engineering team they can trust with the roadmap. Typical signals: you are past product-market fit, your existing engineering team is stretched, your release cadence is slipping, and your customers are starting to ask for the polish that comes from a mature product organisation — not just new features.

We work with B2B SaaS scale-ups post-Series B, enterprise SaaS divisions inside banks and insurers, vertical software companies in BFSI and healthcare, and platform companies whose product is the business. Case studies include several of these patterns in production.

What an engagement looks like

Most product engineering engagements start with a two-week discovery — we read the codebase, sit with your existing team, interview customers, audit your roadmap and metrics, and produce a shared architecture and quality-bar document. That document becomes the engineering contract. From there we form a long-lived squad — typically 6 to 12 engineers across product, design, frontend, backend, QA, DevOps and data — that ships against the roadmap with a named tech lead and quarterly OKRs you agree.

The squad is yours for the long term. Average tenure on our product squads is north of three years. Retention on our engineering bench is 90%+, which is what makes the long-term partnership credible.

The disciplines we bring inside the squad

Product discovery and UX research — we map the actual user flow before changing code. Customer interviews, journey mapping, design system audit.

Architecture and platform engineering — we own architecture decisions and write them down. ADRs, service boundaries, data contracts, performance budgets. We run regular tech-debt audits and prioritise the cost-of-delay items, not just the loud ones.

Frontend and mobile engineering — modern web stacks (React/Next.js, Vue), iOS, Android, React Native. Design-system-first development with shared component libraries.

Backend and data engineering — Java/Spring, Node, Python, Go. Postgres, MongoDB, Kafka, Redis. Event-driven and CQRS where it earns its keep.

QA, automation and release engineering — automated test pyramids, contract testing, performance benchmarks in CI. Release trains with feature flags so you ship daily without drama.

DevOps and SRE — AWS, Azure, GCP. Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform), Kubernetes, observability stacks (Datadog, Grafana, Sentry). SLOs and error budgets, not just dashboards.

Security and compliance hardening — SOC 2, ISO 27001 readiness, OWASP-aligned threat modelling, dependency scanning, secrets management. We have shipped SOC 2 Type II environments for USA customers and DPA 2019 / UK GDPR / FTA / IRDAI / CBK environments for regulated buyers.

Growth and product instrumentation — analytics that the product team actually uses. Event taxonomies, A/B testing harnesses, retention dashboards, activation funnels.

AI and ML integration — drawing on our AI/ML development practice to embed copilots, RAG, recommendation engines and ML scoring inside the product.

How we run the squad

Two-week sprints, daily standups in your timezone, fortnightly demos to your product leadership, monthly architecture reviews, quarterly OKR refresh. We use your tools — Linear, Jira, Notion, GitHub, Slack — and your codebase lives in your repo on day one. The squad ramps in six to ten weeks with named engineers, not anonymous resources.

For enterprise product organisations who want even tighter governance, we can stand the squad up inside a captive Global Capability Centre in India — your entity, our HR and engineering operations, ramped to full headcount inside three months.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to ask before the first call.

Don't see your question? Ask us directly →

How is this different from /services/product-development?

Product Engineering Services is the broader full-lifecycle capability for a product organisation — UX, architecture, QA, DevOps, security, growth, modernization, all sourced from one team. Product Development is specifically about long-lived product squads owning a 3–5 year roadmap. Most clients who engage us for Product Engineering Services end up structured as product-development squads internally; the entry point is the broader engineering capability conversation.

How is this different from staff augmentation?

Staff augmentation is individual engineers slotted into your team — your tech leads own architecture and quality. Product Engineering Services is an outcome-owning squad with our tech lead, quality bar and rituals. You hold strategy, we hold execution accountability.

Can you take over an existing codebase?

Yes — most engagements start with an existing codebase. The two-week discovery is the codebase read, dependency audit and risk-naming exercise. We've taken over from in-house teams, freelancers and other agencies. The architecture document is the handover artifact.

What's the minimum engagement size?

We rarely take squads below six engineers because the full-discipline mix (product, design, FE, BE, QA, DevOps) doesn't fit smaller. For smaller scopes we route to remote engineers or staff augmentation. Six to twelve engineers is the sweet spot.

How do you handle security and compliance?

SOC 2 Type II, ISO 27001 readiness, OWASP-aligned threat modelling, dependency scanning, secrets management. We've shipped under SOC 2 for USA buyers, UK GDPR for UK clients, DPA 2019 for Kenya, FTA VAT and PDPL for UAE, IRDAI and RBI compliance frameworks for Indian BFSI, and CBK for African banks. Compliance is part of the engineering bar, not an afterthought.

What does the long-term partnership look like?

Average squad tenure is 3+ years. We move from initial discovery into quarterly OKR-driven delivery with the same engineers, same tech lead. Most multi-year engagements expand into adjacent product surfaces — we've grown from a single product team to a 40-engineer product organisation embedded inside a single client.

Where do the engineers sit?

By default in our five delivery hubs — Noida (HQ), Nairobi, Dubai, London, New York. For enterprise clients who want tighter governance, we stand up a captive Global Capability Centre inside their entity (typically in India) with our HR and engineering operations bridge.
