Zuper in depth

Inside our Zuper practice.

The long-form view of how we approach Zuper engagements.

Zuper is a field service management (FSM) platform for teams that dispatch technicians, engineers or installers into the field and need to run that operation with the same discipline as their back office. Redian implements Zuper end to end — from workforce structure and skill matrices through to integrations with the CRM, ERP and billing stack — so scheduling, work orders, mobile execution and invoicing behave as one connected flow rather than four disconnected apps.

What Zuper does

At its core, Zuper handles the job lifecycle: a service request comes in from a customer portal, a phone call, an IoT alert or a CRM case; it is triaged into a work order; that work order is scheduled against a technician with the right skills, territory and availability; the technician executes on a mobile app with checklists, parts, photos and customer signature; and the completed job flows back for invoicing, warranty tracking and reporting.

Around that spine sit the modules customers actually configure — dispatch board and drag-and-drop scheduler, route optimisation, timesheets, parts and inventory on the van, quotations, contracts and preventive maintenance plans, asset service history, customer self-serve portal, and a technician mobile app that works offline in areas with patchy connectivity. For service businesses that were previously running dispatch on WhatsApp and Excel, this is a step change in operational visibility.

Where it fits

Zuper is a strong fit for HVAC and MEP service companies, solar installation and O&M providers, medical device and lab-equipment service teams, telecom and ISP field operations, industrial equipment maintenance, elevator and lift servicing, property and facility management, home services (appliances, plumbing, pest control), and utility metering and inspection crews. We have implemented it for operators running a handful of technicians in a single city as well as multi-country service organisations coordinating hundreds of engineers across regions.

It is also the right choice when Zuper needs to sit alongside an existing CRM or ERP rather than replace it. We commonly deploy Zuper for the field operation while the customer keeps Zoho CRM, Salesforce, Odoo or Microsoft Dynamics as the system of record for accounts, opportunities and finance — and we build the integration layer that keeps them in sync.

What we deliver

A Redian Zuper implementation is structured around the operational reality of the service business, not a generic template.

Workforce structure and skills. We model teams, territories, sub-contractors, shift patterns and skill matrices so that when a job type is created, only technicians who are actually qualified and available in the right zone are surfaced to the dispatcher. This includes certifications with expiry dates for regulated work such as gas, HV electrical or medical device servicing.

Work-order types and job templates. Each service line (installation, breakdown, preventive maintenance, warranty, audit) gets its own work-order type with the right custom fields, checklists, parts kits, safety steps and completion criteria. Technicians see a structured job on the mobile app rather than a free-text note.

SLA configuration. Response and resolution SLAs are configured per contract, customer tier or asset criticality, with escalation rules, pause conditions for customer-side delays, and dashboards for the operations manager to see breaches before they happen.

Customer portal and communication. Branded self-serve portal for booking, tracking technician ETA, viewing service history, approving quotes and signing off completed jobs. WhatsApp, SMS and email notifications at each state change, in the customer's language where relevant.

Mobile app theming and rollout. The technician app is themed, configured and rolled out with proper training material in the languages the field team actually speaks. We handle the change-management side of this seriously — a beautifully configured Zuper tenant that technicians refuse to use is a failed project.

Integrations. This is where most Zuper projects live or die. We build integrations with the accounting or ERP system for invoicing, taxes and inventory (Zoho Books, Odoo, Tally, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics), with the CRM for lead-to-service handover, with IoT and monitoring platforms for auto-created tickets, with payment gateways for field collection, and with warehouse or spare-parts systems for van stock reconciliation.

Reporting. Operational dashboards on first-time-fix rate, SLA compliance, technician utilisation, revenue per job, and open work-order aging — surfaced either inside Zuper or piped into the customer's BI tool.

Why Redian

Redian is a CMMI Level 3 appraised, ISO-certified implementation partner with a working CRM and ERP practice across Zoho, Odoo, Salesforce, SuiteCRM and Microsoft Dynamics. That matters for Zuper specifically because field service almost never exists in isolation — the value shows up when the FSM platform is wired correctly into the systems that hold customers, contracts, assets and money. We bring the same engineering team that has done those adjacent integrations across BFSI, manufacturing, healthcare and utilities.

Our delivery footprint covers India, the UAE, Saudi Arabia, Kenya and the wider East and West African markets, the UK, the USA, Canada and Australia — so multi-country service operations get one partner rather than a patchwork of local vendors. Where the customer needs to extend the team with dedicated engineers, our IT staff augmentation practice provides Zuper-competent developers on longer-term arrangements.

How we engage

Most Zuper engagements begin with a scoped discovery — mapping the current service process, contracts, SLAs, integrations and pain points — followed by a configured pilot for a subset of technicians or a single service line. Once the operational model is proven in the pilot, we roll it out to the rest of the workforce and layer in the deeper integrations, portals and reporting.

Why Redian for Zuper

What makes our Zuper practice different.

Independent reasons clients pick us over freelancers, agencies and large consultancies.

  • CRM-integrated by default

We don't ship Zuper as an island. Customer 360 across Zoho/Salesforce/SuiteCRM is part of the engagement.

  • Mobile adoption focus

Field-service rollouts fail at technician adoption. We treat the mobile-app rollout as the critical project, not an afterthought.

Frequently asked questions

Everything you wanted to ask before the call.

Don't see your question? Ask us directly →

What kinds of field-service operations does Zuper fit?

Utilities (meter, fault response), facility management (HVAC, electrical, cleaning), home services (appliance, pest, telecom installation), healthcare field service. Best fit for medium-scale field ops (50–5,000 technicians).

Do you integrate Zuper with our CRM?

Yes — Zoho, Salesforce, SuiteCRM integration is standard. Customer 360 across CRM and field-service.

How long does Zuper implementation take?

There isn't a single answer — the shape depends on service lines, regions and integrations. We commit to a written timeline at the end of Discovery. Phased rollouts — service-line-by-service-line — almost always beat big-bang.
