The April 2019 Whizdom Innovation and Startup Summit at Bennett University brought together founders, investors and student innovators from across the National Capital Region to discuss what it really takes to move an idea from a college project to a paying business. Pavan Verma's session focused less on the celebratory milestones and more on the operational reality of building Redian Software from a small Noida office into a multi-country services firm. He walked through the early decisions around picking open source CRM and ERP as a specialisation when most Indian IT services firms were chasing proprietary stacks, how the first international customers in the UK and East Africa were won without a sales team, and the cash-flow lessons that came with hiring ahead of revenue.
