Opencart eCommerce website development and upgrade

Client:
A marine fish company based out of Australia with an objective to sell marine fish and its related products.

Challenges:

Exiting platform was developed on opencart version 1.x with a lot of custom extensions. Our challenge was to upgrade it to opencart version 2.x and keep the functionality same without affecting the SEO and making performance better. An existing platform was creating log files more than 5 GB a day because of new PHP version.

Solution:

We created the custom opencart extensions for 2.x along with migrating existing customers and products data to the new version. We changed all scripts supporting PHP 7 to get rid off of huge log files being created by warnings.

Outcome:
The web is live and performing far better than the previous versions.
